Girl Fit is back on the blog! Let’s start by saying Girl Fit is all about #motivationmonday. Mondays at this Newton based clinic start with Physical Therapy appointments, rounded out with a nighttime Yoga class taught by Amy, and finish up with a Girl Fit Class that focuses on strength and flexibility in the young adolescent athlete.
I had a blast meeting these young ladies! We had soccer players, figure skaters, and dancers- so many talented girls! They started off with some Yoga to get their minds focused and bodies flexible.
Next, we moved onto individual photo sessions. This is where the talent was shining. Each girl had their own equipment and their own moves!
Lastly was the Girl Fit class! We focused on core, upper body, and hip strength. Direction is key in this class. It is awesome to see the girls not only encourage each other but also see them getting stronger and more confident with exercise.
If you know any young females looking for a safe space to help girls build their strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence- Girl Fit is it! I had such a wonderful time getting to know each girl that attended and see Kate thrive in her natural environment of helping girls prevent sport related injuries.
