Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. How far in advance should I book?

For maternity and newborn sessions I suggest reaching out whenever you are comfortable sharing your news with me.  Most clients reach out 3-6months before their due date. Maternity sessions are scheduled around 28-34 weeks and newborns I capture typically within first 3 weeks of life

Q2. What do you bring to a newborn session?

I do not use any props for my newborn session so if you are looking for someone that uses props or only does posed-baby photos I am not your gal! That being said, i will bring a few wraps (and headbands for the girls) to do some gentle swaddles throughout our session. If you have a studio session with me these wraps are there as well as access to the client closet.

Q3. What happens if it rains for an outdoor session?

I make my cancellations very late prior to shoots/minis so I will reach out within an hour or two of our session to make plans for a re-schedule. New England weather can change on the dime as we know so I try not to reschedule unless I know for certain it will be raining. I try to reschedule clients within a month of our original session.

Q4. Can I bring dogs?

Yes of course! If we are shooting on a location we just need to check rules and regulations about fur children is all so be sure to tell me when you book that you plan on bringing your pup. I also suggest having a friend or family member come with you to be a dog wrangler.

Q5. What happens post session?

After our session together I will cull and edit your photos and deliver them as high-res files in an online (password protected) gallery within 3-4 weeks from our session

Q6. Do you offer mini session?

Yes! I have specific set days for mini sessions however and do not offer them outside these days. Typically i will do motherhood (early spring), summer (beach), and 2-3 fall/holiday ones.
